YGAM creates five new jobs

YGAM are fortunate to be starting 2017 in a strong financial position; thanks to our partners who have a firm belief in our social cause and continue to support YGAM either financially, or via pro-bono employee volunteering or infrastructure support, which during last year saved the charity over £87,000 in essential expenditure.

We are still a start-up charity, a mind-set that we intend to maintain. A trusted colleague said to me recently ‘You need to maintain your start-up entrepreneurial mind-set as the problem is when you become more established, your organisations waistline will expand and you risk becoming a corporate charity’. I shuddered at the thought of becoming a ‘corporate charity’. I have worked in ‘corporate charities’ all my career and so can relate exactly to what they were saying and how such charities are perceived by some.

So what has this got to do with the new jobs that YGAM have available. Well everything. We are seeking change-makers, entrepreneurs and people who want to get their hands dirty and join us on our journey. Social media is full of the stories of the hard work and sacrifice entrepreneurs go through along with a good dose of optimism. So if you are seeking something different and want to be part of -dedicated, committed and impactful team and want to have a huge amount of autonomy (along with a good dose of responsibility and accountability) do take a look at what we have on offer.

We are seeking a Head of Quality-Assurance (part-time, up to £20ph or £200 per day); Education Co-ordinator (full-time, up to £24,000 plus bonus after probation period); Community Development Manager (part-time, £9.75ph) and two Community Development Workers (part-time, £8.45ph). Each role has a specific geographical location and if you think you can contribute to our social cause, we’d love to hear from you.
