Our free 2-hour City & Guilds assured training is for community and faith leaders who work or volunteer with young people in marginalised communities. The programme content centres on an understanding of socio-cultural and religious contexts relating to gambling harm, and explores shame, stigma and barriers to seeking support, along with influences such as advertising and online gaming.
On completion of the workshop, you will receive access to our complimentary and downloadable resources. You will also be provided with continued support to implement resources from our Training and Engagement Managers and have access to Ygam Alumni, featuring additional sessions on topics such as cryptocurrency, lived experience and more.
This programme aims to raise awareness and address the issue of gambling harm disproportionately affecting people from marginalised communities. Workshops are provided to community and faith leaders to empower you with the knowledge and skills to deliver your own sessions to young people, whilst helping you to spot the signs of harm and provide signposting to safeguard your communities.
Learning Outcomes :
In addition to our open workshops, we also provide FREE bespoke workshops for community and faith leaders both online and face to face, at a date and time that is convenient for you. All of our training is evidence-led and independently evaluated.
We are also able to support you to introduce the resources, by offering a session to the young people in your community, helping to build your skills in using our activity plans, as well as sessions for parents to bring an holistic approach to safeguarding.
